Conference to Discuss Hiring Wounded Veterans, Says Murt
1/22/2010

Due to the large number of wounded veterans returning to the United States from combat and seeking to transition their service to civilian employment, Rep. Thomas P. Murt (R-Montgomery/Philadelphia) is urging wounded veterans and their families to attend the Wounded Warrior Hiring and Support Conference being sponsored by the U.S. Navy.

The conference is scheduled for Feb. 2-3 at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center, 5000 Seminary Road, Alexandria, VA.

“This conference will explore barriers to hiring wounded warriors and ways to overcome them,” Murt said.  “In addition, it is a wonderful opportunity for military and civilian leaders to learn about the Wounded Warrior program.”

Murt also reminded veterans that his office, located at 19 South York Road in Hatboro, is available to provide help and assistance with the many state programs designed to help Pennsylvania veterans.
