Turnpike Commission to Offer Summer Employment Opportunities, Says Murt
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is now accepting applications for toll, maintenance and clerical positions through the 2010 Summer Turnpike Program, Rep. Thomas P. Murt (R-Montgomery/Philadelphia) said today.
Interested applicants may now obtain applications from Murt’s district office or online at RepMurt.com. The deadline to submit applications to Murt’s office is Friday, March 12. Applicants should submit their applications to Murt’s office and not to the Turnpike Commission directly, as this will only delay processing of the application.
The program is limited to 16 weeks per employee and runs between May 1 and Sept. 30. Applicants must have graduated from high school or be attending college. Toll collectors must be available to work any of the three shifts over a 24-hour period, including Saturday, Sunday and holidays.
For more information on summer employment with the Turnpike Commission, contact Murt’s district office at 19 South York Road in Hatboro or visit Murt’s Web site at RepMurt.com and click on “Turnpike Commission Summer Employment.”
